RECOM Fire Solutions teamed up with McGoff Construction, a privately owned construction and integrated support services business, to undertake surveying and fire remedial works on projects across Harrogate, Blackpool, Haydock and Kendal. Our role also includes advising on passive fire protection compliance, supporting McGoff in delivering safe, compliant buildings.
Project Details:
McGoff Construction was responsible for the complete renovation of Apley Grange Care Home in Harrogate, providing nursing, dementia, end of life and respite care. RECOM Fire Solutions was appointed to carry out Passive Fire Protection works as part of the programme.
The company has also been appointed by Whitbread to deliver several Premier Inn refurbishments, with RECOM engaged to undertake surveying and remedial works on live hotel sites.
Our scope of work includes fire door and screen installation, fire curtain installation with access doors, and demolition and reconstruction of partition walls, all delivered to consistently high standards of safety and workmanship.
What we did differently
Working on live hotel refurbishments required careful planning to maintain the safe operation of the business and protect the professional image of the Premier Inn brand. We scheduled works around staff and guest needs, managed deliveries and vehicle movements carefully, and ensured shared car parks and public spaces remained safe and functional.
